We are NOT "Gay,"
We are NOT Cannibals,
and We Certainly are NOT "Identity"

9.  Be Wise as Serpents--Reject the "Identity" Label

Jesus has instructed his followers to be wise.  "Behold I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves:  be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves," Matthew 10:16.  It is not wise to claim a label that has been transformed into an evil icon in the minds of the populace.  Just as it would neither be wise nor a good Christian witness to claim to be "gay," so it is with the label fontIdentity.  Now that the meaning has been transformed by our enemies, it is now foolish for one to call himself an "Identity Christian." 

Additionally, use of the term Identity has become a stumbling block to many of those who are searching for truth and understanding.  The Christian is commanded to abstain from even the appearance of evil.  "Abstain from all appearance of evil," I Thessalonians 5:22.  Thus, if the anti-Christ propagandists have given the word Identity an evil connotation and a meaning which no longer describes you, then we should abstain from labeling ourselves Identity. 

Furthermore, it is not wise to allow others to label us Identity.  To this end, we may need to invoke the laws against defamation and slander.  We should say to the propagandists, the reporters, and the law enforcement agencies, "Caveat!   We are not 'gay,' we are not cannibals and we certainly are not 'Identity.'"
