NEVER
DISGRACED
Psalm
25:1-4 New American Standard Bible
1
To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. 2 O my God, in You I trust, Do not let
me be ashamed; Do not let my enemies exult over me. 3Indeed, none of those who
wait for You will be ashamed; Those who deal
treacherously without cause will be ashamed. 4Make me know Your
ways, O LORD; Teach me your paths.
Our enemy is constantly trying to intimidate us. One of the things he uses is
our fear of being embarrassed or ashamed. Sadly, many Christians fight an
ongoing battle to give witness to their confession of faith. Perhaps they are
afraid that they will be rejected or ridiculed. Others find it hard to
acknowledge their trust in God, fearing that they will fail in their commitment
to him.
The psalmist,
"O my God in you I trust, do not let me be ashamed, don't let my enemies
exult over me."
Each of us experiences similar situations and problems. Let us learn that we
can always trust God. No matter how difficult the problem facing us, He always
upholds those who put their faith in him. He will not allow us to be disgraced
and defeated. He is faithful to those who serve him. We may have moments when
it seems that our enemies will overwhelm us but God never fails.
"None of those who wait for you will be ashamed." We are reminded
that though we may be ridiculed or rejected for the moment, God always
justifies his own. Joseph was thrown into the pit and
sold into slavery only to be exonerated by God. He became the one who kept all

God never performed a miracle when there was no need. He never leaves or
forsakes those who trust in him. Just as he was faithful to
