16. A Revolutionary Movement George Orwell rightly said, "In
a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." True, Biblical Christianity involves the proclamation of truth. In the present day, deception is widespread. Thus,
Christians who go about speaking the truth--including the truth concerning the modern-day identity of Biblical Israel--are considered by many to be revolutionists. The situation is much as it was in the first
century. In seeking simply to restore true Christianity to this land, the restoration movement is viewed as a revolutionary movement. "But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them
certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. And when they found them not, they
drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, 'These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also,'" Acts 17:5-6 (KJV). In truth, Christianity is
revolutionary: when a people as a whole embrace Christianity, the result is a overturning of the established order within their society. The result is a new social order--one in which justice and
righteousness prevail. The compromising politicians, the lying journalists, the corrupt judges, the unprincipled businessmen, and the shameless parasites who formerly dominated the society soon find themselves at
the bottom, no longer able to maintain their former positions of wealth and influence. But the means by which Christianity brings about this revolution of righteousness does not involve violence or physical
force: the revolution comes about as the result of the proclamation of truth. Specifically, it comes about as the result of preaching and teaching the Gospel--the "good news"--which was preached by
Jesus Christ. The Gospel working within the individual brings forth repentance and conversion to Jesus Christ. When enough individuals within a society are converted and become Christians, the society cannot
help but change. However, there are segments of society which do not want to see society change; these are the ones who are "on top." If the existing order is over-turned--i.e., if the Gospel of
Jesus Christ turns the world "upside down"--they will be "on the bottom." To such individuals, the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is viewed as a "hate crime."
Perhaps no better example can be given than an article which originally appeared in the Washington Post and was reprinted in the Saint Paul Pioneer Press of September 10, 1999. The article is entitled,
"Jews Targeted in Conversion Crusade: Southern Baptists Desire to Convert People to Christ." The article begins, "The nation's largest Protestant denomination has launched a new,
aggressive campaign aimed at converting Jews to Christianity, with the publication of a prayer book that Jewish leaders describe as insulting and condescending." The article quotes the Southern Baptist
International Mission Boards' instructions to its members: "Pray each day for Jewish individuals you know by name. Build authentic friendships with Jewish people. Love them as you would an
unsaved relative." Then the article reports the Jewish view of this campaign. "We'd like a little less love and a little more respect,"
said Rabbi Eric Yoffie, president of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. "There's a kind of theological arrogance that pervades all of this, a certain willingness on their part to play God, and an
absence of awareness that these sorts of statements throughout history are associated with coercion, hatred and violence."
(32) The same wealthy, anti-Christ sect which categorizes evangelistic efforts of Baptists as "coercion, hatred, and
violence," has appointed itself a monitor of what it terms "hate groups." It spends vast sums writing propaganda against these groups and distributing its propaganda to law enforcement agencies
across the land. The same sect is in control of the nation's news and entertainment media, which it also uses to disseminate its propaganda. This is the sect which is now engaged in erecting a new evil icon
called Identity, in order to falsely portray certain Christians as violent and hateful. A system built on lies cannot long endure the spreading of truth. Nor can a system built on lies fight
against truth with honest and forthright methods; so other weapons, such as demonization, propaganda, and psychological warfare, are employed. Those who seek to stop proclamation of the Israel truth would like
nothing better than to provoke the adherents of that truth into attempting a violent revolution. They do this through the use of agent provocateurs and propaganda. Rabbi Daniel Lapin exposes the
technique. "...if you repeat information often enough people will accept it. That in no way makes it true, though it does risk becoming self-fulfilling prophecy." [31] The weapons and the armor of the Christian are described in
Ephesians 6:10-20. It is the Christian's faith which gives him victory over the world order, I John 5:4. Prayer is a powerful, yet much-neglected, weapon. At this time in history, we as Christians
need to be in serious prayer daily against our enemies. Each of us needs to be praying that God will cause our enemies to fall into the very pit they have prepared to entrap God's people. Remember,
Christian: our anti-Christ enemies don't have a prayer, but we do. |
