Sermon Notes for June 14, 2009.
Sunday morning service from the La Porte Church of Christ,

*DEEP DECEPTION* is today's message title.

A sermon introduction incorporating generic questions
deceived most of the congregation.
Do you want to be godly?
You've got to have more godly love in your life.
"Give Me That Old Time Religion," song words sung.
Do we not need more love?
Most will say, "Yeah!", "Oh, yes!"as they stupidly fall for the deception.
The preacher led you into being tricked and deceived,
by affirming to that "Old time religion," that, "Makes me love everybody."
He deceived you into that old time religion.
People are so used to TV production, that they want different camera
angle shots, so the production team is admonished to switch
the three cameras from time to time during live streaming.
Some were upset because they were deceived.
Some of the saints were deceived right off the bat.
Most didn't think the preacher would be a deceiver.
Some never suspected the preacher would be a deceiver,
when he enticed you into listening to lies.
The first lie, "Do you want to be more godly?"
The poison goes into the saints' minds with a lot of truth.
The lie, "God loves everybody."
The truth is that He doesn't love everybody.
A religion where you love everybody is not Christianity.
If you can get the people to sing, then that helps enhance the spell
casting.
The Bible teachs us that God doesn't love everybody.
We need more godly hate.
Today's message title is, "DEEP DECEPTION."
This is the second punch of a one-two punch.
"DECEPTION DETECTION," was the first message.

James 1:16, "Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren." NASV.
Deception is sin.
Titus 3:3, "For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient,
deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in
malice and envy, hateful, hating one another." NASV.
Washington (DC), with the "DC" meaning deceive or deceit.
"DC Sorceries Cease. Satanic strongholds release."
"Do not be deceived," is a command.
A concept many don't think about,
is that the deceiver is not aware that he is a deceiver.
The false prophet doesn't always know he is false.
2 Tim.3:13, "But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse,
deceiving and being deceived." NASV.
How do they do it?
How do they get their prayers answered?
The early church knew how they did it, but we don't.




"REVEALING THE MAN OF SIN" tract; request it from ministry.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, "Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will
not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is
revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above
every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in
the temple of God, displaying himself as being God." NASV.
Reveal means to uncover.
Ephesians 5:11, "Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness,
but instead even expose them." NASV.
This man is in deep cover, utilizing deep deception.
The bottom line is this: he is Esau; that's his name.
The singular applies to the plural, as Esau means Edomites.
Esau and Jacob were fraternal twins.
They were not identical twins, but it is hard to tell them apart.
2 John 1:7, "For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who
do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the
deceiver and the antichrist." NASV.
One category of these antichrists is the deep deceiver.
Mark 13:6, tells of the deep deceiver, "Many will come in My name,
saying, 'I am He!' and will mislead many." NASV.
Many say, "Jesus is the Christ," but they are deceivers.
2 Peter 2:13, "Suffering wrong as the wages of doing wrong. They count
it a pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are stains and blemishes,
reveling in their deceptions, as they carouse with you." NASV.

What is godly hate?
True Christianity is based upon the word of God.
There is so much false teaching, that the leaven is everywhere.
Godly hate is hating what God hates.
Are you willing to hate what God hates?
Are you willing to hate who God hates?
Who does He hate?
Malachi 1:2-3, "I have loved you," says the LORD. But you say, "How have
You loved us?" "Was not Esau Jacob's brother?" declares the LORD.
"Yet I have loved Jacob; but I have hated Esau,
and I have made his mountains a desolation
and appointed his inheritance for the jackals of the wilderness." NASV.
Romans 9:13, is the New Testament back up text for those "New Testament
Christians" out there. "Just as it is written,
"JACOB I LOVED, BUT ESAU I HATED." NASV.
You had better become a Complete Bible Christian.
Learn to hate him who God hates.
Deceiving and being deceived entails a two party sin.
The Book of Jasher, 38:18 & 20, "At that time, Isaac sent his younger
son Jacob to the house of Shem and Eber, and learned the instructions of
the Lord, and Jacob remained in the house of Shem and Eber thirty-two
years, and Esau his brother did not go, and he remained in his father's
house in the land of Canaan. 20. And Esau was a designing and deceitful
man, one who hunted after the hearts of men and inveigled them."
INVEIGLE, "To entice; to seduce; to wheedle; to persuade to something
evil by deceptive arts or flattery."
INVEIGLED, "Enticed; wheedled; seduced from duty."
INVEIGLEMENT, "Seduction to evil; enticement."
INVEIGLER, "One who entices or draws into any design by arts and flattery."
INVEIGLING, "Enticing; wheedling; persuading to anything bad."
Definitions taken from Webster's 1828 Dictionary.
(Suffice to say that Esau was a real charmer for evil.)
Jacob studied God's law for 32 years with Noah's son Shem, from whence
the name Semites originated.
2 Thessalonians, chapter 2, deals with the man who is lawless.
The Edomites do not preach or teach God's law.
They claim it was nailed to the cross and done away with.
Matthew 5:17, "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the
Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill." So said King Jesus.
NASV.





We need to hate those who are doing this to us and destroying our land.
Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 23 describe the blessings and the curses
and the festivals of the Lord God specifically for His covenant chosen
people.
The Esau-Edomites look like us, but they are not us.
The covenant was made with and through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel.
Esau-Edom is outside the covenant.
Esau was lawless and so are his children.
The knowledge of fruit trees, and understanding the different fruit
on the fruit trees is important.
The son of perdition was different than the Galileeans.
Judas Iscariot was from a different area.
He was from the region where the Edomites had settled.
Judas Iscariot was an Edomite; a descendant of Esau.
Judas was one of the fruits of Esau.
If Esau was a bad tree and produced bad fruit, then his descendant fruit
was also bad fruit. You cannot get good fruit from a bad tree.
Matthew 7:18, "A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree
produce good fruit." NASV.
He was in deep deception, and under deep cover, yet he will be uncovered.
He is going to be revealed.
Consider Judas and the other apostles. Judas, as trusted follower of
Jesus, was entrusted with the money, as the treasurer of the group.
He was deeply planted, undercover, as a tare enjoying his deception.
Think of the Apostles talking about Judas, and how they still can't
beleive it.
They all received a humbling dose of deception.
To warn the world of deception is most difficult,
as most saints believe they are not deceived.
2 John 1:7, "For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who
do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the
deceiver and the antichrist." NASV.
Matt 7:15-23, "Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's
clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their
fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from
thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad
tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a
bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is
cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their
fruits. Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the
kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in
heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we
not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your
name perform many miracles?' "And then I will declare to them, 'I never
knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS." NASV.
The deceived practice lawlessness.
The man of 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2, was lawless.
Notice the fruit.
Edomites have fruit, but it is bad fruit.
Many have failed to understand
what the fruit was that the bad trees produced.
What exactly is bad fruit in the spiritual sense?




Fruit of the spirit or evangelism.
Fruit tree fruit. Just exactly what is it?
Just this week, the preacher learned that "The fruit," is answered prayer.
A bad tree does bear fruit.
A sermon illustration of the preacher taking his family on their first
sojourn to Phoenix, Arizona, in the winter time.
The preacher had never seen an orange tree.
It was warm down there in Arizona in February,
and the oranges were out on the tree.
He was imagining(creating a visual image in his mind)
picking and biting into a sweet, juicy, freshly picked orange, right off
the tree.
Peter said to the wife, "I am going to pick me a fresh orange."
She said, "Wouldn't that be stealing?"
He replied, "No, that would be gleaning."
THe preacher picked one of the good looking oranges off the tree. He
peeled it and took a big bite out of it. Then he puckered up, and
started spitting it out of his mouth. It was a bad tree, an ornamental
orange tree. It was all for show and full of bad fruit, as a counterfeit
fruit tree. Down there, you don't eat that type of orange fruit. It is
strictly for show.
The fruit was bitter, rotten fruit. It was a bad tree, a deceiving tree.




Esau-Edom's answered prayers are perceived as good fruit,
but it is all a ruse and a counterfeit, utilizing false signs and wonders.
John 15:1-7, ""I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every
branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself
unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him,
he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone
does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and
they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. If
you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and
it will be done for you." NASV.
The fruit is answered prayer.
John 15:16, "You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you
that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so
that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you." NASV.
The fruit is answered prayer.
Matthew 7:22, "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not
prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your
name perform many miracles?" NASV.
How did they get it done?
"Did we not prophesy....perform many miracles."
If you are one of those that did these things,
maybe you start to think you are God.
They were deceiving and being deceived.
How did they get this done in His name?
Prayer. Fruit is answered prayer.
Then bad fruit is answered prayer.
There is good fruit and bad fruit, but both trees produce fruit.
Kind after kind. Good after good, and bad after bad.
You shall know them by their fruits.





Using the "Deception Detector," we can see that their bad fruit is
sometimes in the form of answered prayer.
In 2 Thessalonians 2:9, the lawless one had powers, signs, and false
wonders.
This man had power, signs and wonders, false wonders.
A miracle is a wonderment.
Satan always counterfeits the real thing.
The early church knew how it was done.
Sometimes the illness comes from Satan.
Acts 10:38, "You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with
the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and
healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him." NASV.
Using miracles, prayers, and activities,
Satan deceives the false prophet himself.
They go about deceiving and being deceived.
We need to know how the other side operates, this man of lawlessness.
What positions is he in today?
Many are behind the church pulpits,
and you see them doing their craft in the name of Jesus.
Matthew 7:22, "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not
prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your
name perform many miracles?'" NASV.
They had been following the deceiver and they were the deceived.
You too can be deceived.
"DECEPTION DETECTION"
"Demons are very kind in the healing of diseases, as they withdraw their
hurtful influence."
Excerpts taken from "The Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs."
"Secretly creeping into human bodies, they create diseases, as spirits
simulating diseases."
Satan's system of 911 gets all kinds of business,
with evil spirit generated diseases.
"With subtlety as spirits....omitting what they have bound, they are
perceived to have cured it."
Matthew 12:27-28, "If I by Beelzebul cast out demons, by whom do your
sons cast them out? For this reason they will be your judges.
But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God,
then the kingdom of God has come upon you." NASV.
Who do your sons heal by? By Beelzebul.
The sons of the devil, and the Esau-Edomites, heal by Beelzebul.
How do we recognize the bad from the genuine?
The counterfeit bills are recognized from the genuine notes,
after much study has been done on the originals.
Bankers study the original notes.
When you know the real ones,
then you can more easily recognize the counterfeits.






Go back to the word of God for a more complete understanding.
Hebrews 4:12, "For the word of God is living and active and sharper than
any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and
spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and
intentions of the heart." NASV.
Understand John 15:16, "You did not choose Me but I chose you, and
appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit
would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may
give to you." NASV.
"That your fruit should remain."
The bad fruit doesn't remain.
The sick 12-year old girl that Jesus resurrected from the dead,
stayed resurrected. Reason tells us that she lived a long and fruitful life.
The good fruit remains.
The bad fruit doesn't remain, and their counterfeit miracles do not last.
The second state of the diseased condition is worse than at the first.
They will always have an excuse for their failures.
Are you humble enough to know you have been deceived?
Romans 16;18, "For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of
their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they
deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting."
They always have an answer, "By their smooth and flattering speech."
They always use deception and deep deception, as they say "Gawd."
Deuteronomy 13:1-3, "If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among
you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes
true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other
gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them, you shall not
listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the
LORD your God is testing you to find out if you love the LORD your God
with all your heart and with all your soul." NASV.
Our God is the same today as He was in the old covenant.
The lawless one makes Jesus into an entirely different God
than what the word of God says.
Esau doesn't want you to hate him, like God hates him.
You might say to the Judge, we were deceived.
Real Christianity identified these false prophets.
They repented for having been deceived.
Those 12 apostles became some of the best men for the Christian Way.
Pastor Judas was a deceiver, but the boastful pride of life prevents
many from confessing that they've been deceived.





P. T. Barnam said, "There is a sucker born every minute."
He built his circus and carnival empire on fleecing the sheeple.
An aquaintance of the preacher told him, "Peter, they are just sheep."
They are dumb people; people that are as dumb as me.
Hence, the name "Sheeple."
How does the wolf in sheep's clothing view sheep?
They merely proclaim, "They are just sheep."
P. T. Barnum used his "Sucker born every minute,"
knowledge to fill up his side show attractions..
"Come see the "200-pound 'man-eating' Chicken!"
A paid barker would cry out to the crowd, "Hey, come and see this
200-pound 'Man-eating' Chicken."
A 200-pound 'man-eating' Chicken.
They paid their money and went into the tent and observed a 200-pound man
nibbling on a dumbstick.
Nobody ran around and told those unsuspecting souls waiting in line
that they had been duped and deceived.
The man of lawlessness, pretends like he believes the law like you do.
They war by deception.
This is the way Satan wars against the saints.
Learn to hate deception and hate the deceivers.





"DECEPTION - DEEP AND DEEPER," may be the next title in another message.
Pastor Judas was a Judas goat. Many would say I just can't beleive that.
He would be known today as an "Agent Provocateur." The KGB is well known
for using such agents to "Cull the herd" with the Judas Goat, by
rounding up dissidents. Many are deceived by the deceivers.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12, "A love of the truth." It is better hurt now
than hurt later, as you wake up from this deception.
"That is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan,
with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception
of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the
love of the truth so as to be saved.For this reason God will send upon
them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in
order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but
took pleasure in wickedness." NASV.
Note that God, Himself, sends upon them,
"A deluding influence so that they would believe a lie."
